Only me … Chairman’s update 19 May

Hi Everyone,Emma Evans

Hope you are all having a good week, i’ve been a busy bee as always but finally managed to fit in a trip to Harlow to see the annual EAF exhibition. It was truly inspirational and was very proud to see our very own members images holding their own amongst the very best of the East Anglia region.

Unfortunately we ended up getting rained off on Tuesday, but it didnt stop us all meeting for a swift half and some club related chatter.

This week we are heading off to Great Canfield for Sparks Pictures, using long exposures. So tripods will be required. The parking is limited and so if you can car share/meet in town and go in one car that would be great. (Also take bug spray as I got seriously nibbled last year!)

There is another local exhibition that may be of interest to some; Monday 22nd June to June 6th @ St. Paul’s church, Harlow Town Centre. Its being put on by the Harlow Seniors Photographic Society.

Next season we are starting a ‘Studio Club’ where every few months we will hire a professional studio,(in Sawbridgeworth) complete with backdrops and lights. Members will be able to practice their studio techniques. You will be able to sign up to a morning or afternoon session and the cost will be £15 per person and is on a first come first served basis. Please email Brian to secure a place. The first one is on November 16th. We will try to make it fair and if you dont get a go this time we will try to make sure you are top of the list for the next one.

I’ve put together a little promo for the club (to go on youtube/twitter/facebook etc) and I thought you might like a little sneak preview as its not been approved by the committee yet, anyway check it out: here

Heres to lots of good photo opportunities this week, I’m off to the Chelsea Flower show 🙂

Have a great week.

Emma x

Ps don’t forget to get your pics on Dropbox if you went on the weekend away so I can put my slideshow together for the weekend.
