High Speed Photography on Tuesday 30th August

Hi all,

Unfortunately I can’t make it this week as I’m sunning it up in the Isle of Wight.

This week it’s high speed photography, using speedlights and triggers. Andy Thorpe is in charge and the location is at Sophia’s – contact us for address details – at 8pm. The results last year were fantastic.

Bowen Studio Lights

The club has been given some old but good Bowens studio lights, softboxes and stands. The only problem is – has anyone got anywhere to store them!?

Will Cheung talk at Welwyn Garden City photo club

This clashes with our Club night…but you may be interested anyway 😉

Hi all,

Welwyn Garden City Photography club would like to extend an invite to all members of surrounding photography clubs to come and join us for a talk by the very well respected Will Cheung.

Will is currently the editor of Advanced Photographer magazine, and has also edited Practical Photography, Digital Photo and Photography Monthly during his 25 years of professional photography.  His talk is titled “My Passion for Photography” which will include a broad range of subjects and I’m sure there will be some tips along the way too!  It is DPI based.

Please contact us by email at secretary@welwynphotoclub.org.uk to register your interest in attending.

Places are limited by the size of our regular venue and will be allocated on a first come first served basis until we run out of room, so don’t leave it too late!  We need finalised numbers by Tuesday 6th September at the very latest.

There will be a £5 per person fee to attend – this also includes tea, coffee and biscuits during the evening.

Date: 13 September 2016

Time: 8.00pm until 10.00pm

Venue: Mill Green Golf Club, Gypsy Lane, Welwyn Garden City, Herts  AL7 4TY

Further information on Will (alongside a selection of his excellent photos) can be found at his website:http://www.williamcheung.co.uk/about.html

Cheers!
